About us
The story started back in 1993 when our kennel has been opened for a first time. At that time we had Blue Merle Sheltie and Sharplanin Shepard dog. That’s why we’ve chosen the name „Sněžný tygr“ (Snowy tiger). Snowy for the color of our Sheltie and the Tiger for the size of the Sharplanin. Later on we have focused only on Shelties, but the name remained since.
As written above, we are focused on breeding of Shelties in following colors: Gold, Tri-color and the Blue Merle, but the “snowy” ones were most raised. After all the Blue Merle is the most beautiful color for us. We haven’t got a luxury house or super-glossy kennels, but we really love our dogs as much as we can. Dogs are not just living with us, but we’re living with them – you can call it friendship. I’d like to believe, that more than 11 years of experience Shelties is more than just visible on our dogs. Our first female dog was Blue Merle colored Ch. Annel Blue Větrný dvůr. She basicaly put the groundbase for our kennel. The best descendants were Ch.French, Ch. Kersey Blue and Int.Ch. Icy Magic Sněžný tygr, who was the only one we’ve kept “home”. All of the dogs were Blue Merle colored.
Our second female in kennel was Ch. Bessy u Císařské cesty. “Betty” as we used to call her brought us Ch. Peter Pan and Red Candy , which were kept “in house”. On the top of it we have got Tri-colored Cascade z Ďáblovy studánky. She delivered us from a first litter (father was Icy Magic) Blue Merle colored girl, ambitious Shakira , and Golden colored Int.Ch.Double Drink z Ďáblovy studánky.
In 2003 we got a new Golden colored Scandyline Season of Love, who’s young and still waiting for his time to come.
Beginning of 2004 was a bit difficult and troublesome; we’ve moved out of the farmhouse to the city’s flat and we had to cut our plans for a while.
Betty and Sunny found her now home in Belgium, Buffy in Estonia, Icy and Candy in Brno (Czech). Shakira is living with her new owner in North Bohemia, Frisbee is for a time being “borrowed” in Brno…
It is unpleasant, temporary solution, recently we’re looking for a new, better house for our dogs (and for us too…!). We believe it will be solved soon so we can continue and fully focus on breeding of the Sheltie’s at „Sněžný tygr“. We would like to apologize for any caused inconvenience and thanked to all the people who helped us.
